Independent Referral and Introducer Program

A summary of the terms for business brokers and referral sources who introduce prospective dealership purchasers to Aging In The Comfort Of Home®.

You make the introduction. We do the selling. This page covers the four things worth knowing before you decide whether the program is worth your time: how you are paid, when it pays, how a prospect becomes yours, and exactly where your work stops and ours begins.

What you are introducing

Aging In The Comfort Of Home® offers a dealer certification opportunity in the aging-in-place, accessibility, remodeling and home modification market. Certified dealers are independent business owners who operate under their own names and brands. The opportunity is not a franchise.

The current dealership investment is a fixed $79,900. It is not negotiated and there are no discount tiers, so the figure you quote is the figure the buyer pays.

Your commission

Closed units credited to youRatePer unit
Units 1 through 107.5%$6,000
Units 11 and above10%$8,000

Tiering is marginal. Each rate applies only to the units closed within that tier and does not apply back to units you already closed. Commission is calculated on the $79,900 dealership fee only, not on taxes, lender fees, interest, reimbursements or any later services.

When it pays

Commission becomes payable on a closed unit: a dealership sale fully executed by all required parties, past any applicable cancellation period, fully funded, and received by us in cleared funds.

We pay within 15 business days of the latest of those three events: cleared funds received, the cancellation period expired, and confirmation that no refund, chargeback, financing reversal or default has occurred. A completed IRS Form W-9 and your payment instructions are needed before the first payment goes out.

If a transaction reverses within 90 days of us paying you, we offset the amount against future commissions or ask for repayment. After 90 days we recover only by offset, unless the reversal was caused by a breach on your side.

How a prospect becomes yours

Submit the prospect to us in writing, by timestamped email or an approved form, with their full name, contact details, location and a short summary of your prescreen. We confirm in writing within five business days whether the prospect is accepted. If we do not respond within five business days, the prospect is automatically registered to you.

A prospect is not eligible for commission if they are already known to us, already in our pipeline, were contacted by us in the previous 180 days, were submitted first by someone else, came to us through our own inbound channels, or do not complete a purchase.

Where your work stops

Yours

  • Identify prospects in your own network
  • Make the introduction
  • Prescreen for general fit: location, background, seriousness, timing, readiness to talk to us
  • Use our approved materials

Ours

  • Every presentation and discovery call
  • Delivery of official disclosures and documents
  • Qualification, diligence, and the decision to accept or decline
  • Contract preparation and execution
  • Payment collection, closing and onboarding

Hand the prospect to us as soon as they ask for official details, pricing or financing information, results, service area questions, or anything legal. You are not expected to answer those, and the agreement asks you not to.

The limits, stated plainly

The relationship is nonexclusive, commission only, and structured as an independent contractor arrangement under Missouri law. There is no salary, draw, benefit, minimum lead volume, minimum number of closings, or fixed term. We are not obligated to fund advertising, media, lead buying or events on your behalf.

You may not negotiate terms, quote anything other than the published investment figure, offer discounts, accept deposits or signed documents on our behalf, give legal, tax, financing or regulatory advice, make any claim about what a dealer will make or achieve, promise exclusivity or a protected service area, or present yourself as our employee, agent or authorized representative.

What you may say is set out in Exhibit A, the Approved Communication Framework, which is part of the agreement. It includes approved opening language, approved prescreening questions and approved handoff language, so you are never guessing at the wording.
